On April 2, Brian invited me to come document he and Angie Johnson working on a bonus track called Love Love the Anthem at Shock City Studios in St. Louis, MO. This track will probably be released in conjunction with his Moods and Messages album (June 2012) most likely digitally online.
If you recall these two first meet in the viral sensation band Sidewinder; a band consisting of members of the 571st Air Force Band. Angie also appeared on the Voice this past season. Hearing their voices blend in the studio was a beautiful work of art. I was amazed at how Brian could hear all the layers of voices in his head and then on the spot coach Angie to sing exactly what he heard in his head. This guy is not only an artist but a composer and producer as well!
The photos below are a sequence of the day. The series starts off with Angie singing the lead female vocal track lyrics that where on her iphone. Next you have Brain coaching and listening to her in the studio. After some they recorded Angie’s vocals Brain joined her behind the mic and they recorded a duel vocal track.
