Nathan Lew {Brentwood, MO}

July 2nd, 2010

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to do Nathan’s 1 year  session at Tillies Park in Ladue, MO.   This day might have been one of the hottest days this summer.  No fear… we pressed on and thanks to Kevan’s great planning we had water with us on location.  Thank you!   This session was kind of sad and happy for me.  Nathan was one of the first babies I have photographed.  As reflected on the fact that this was the last session for the year  I realized I will  miss the Krestel family.   This family really has become my friend.  Thank you Tiffany and Kevan for trusting me to capture Nathan’s first year for and happy birthday Nathan!  Here’s a sneak peak from the session.

Harmon Family {Edwardsville, IL}

June 29th, 2010

This fast Saturday I had the opportunity to meet the Harmon family and photograph this beautiful family.  This session was a Christmas gift to Mike and Ceci from the their kids.  I think the wait was well worth it.  Little Nathan made me laugh as he made faces the whole session to help the rest of his family relax.  Check out our facebook site for some incredible photos of Nathan.  This guy could be child model!

Thank Harmon family for a great session and privilege of taking your family photos!  I hope you enjoy them for years to come.

Baby Elise {Boston, MA}

February 19th, 2010

A couple of weeks ago I was able to travel to Boston…. well not really!  Boston came to St. Louis.  Elise’s mother Carrie just recently came back to the St. Louis area to be with family and I had the opportunity to photography this precious little one.   Last fall I took Elise’s older cousin Amia’s family photos.  So it was very neat to photograph another side part of the family and to do a joint cousin session as well.  Some of the last photos from this session were taken with both Amia and Elise.  Photographing a two month old and 14 month old was a challenge but we got the job done.  Thanks Corby and Carrie!  Carrie thank you so much for choosing me to capture these moment of time for you.  Grandma Pam thank you for letting me use your home as a studio again!  Here is a sneak peak of this session.  Enjoy!blog1blog2blog3blog4blog5

Ada Jane {Bethalto, IL}

February 12th, 2010

At the beginning of the month I had chance to photograph sweet baby Ada.  Ada was born on January 13 weighing 8 lbs 9oz and measuring 19.5 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful!   This was a fun shoot for me because Ada’s parents, A.D. and Amanda, are some of Sarah Jane and I’s closest friends.  We go to church together and have shared lots of life together as well.  So this shoot was a celebration of family and life for me more than a newborn session.  A.D. and Amanda congrats again on your new baby girl and I hope you enjoy this sneak peak!

Nathan Lew {Brentwood, MO}

January 17th, 2010

Christmas has come and gone but I bet the memories of little 6 month Nathan will last a lifetime.  This session was a blast for multiple reason.  Reason one, the Christmas tree was up and all the decorations.  The house was absolutely beautiful. Great job Tiffany!  Reason two, all the session was centered around Christmas.  The backdrops, outfits, and props.  I love Christmas!  Reason three, I had an extra set of hands on this shoot.  My two year old daughter Ella tagged along with SJ and I to this photo shoot.  She did a great job sharing daddy with baby Nathan.  It was also fun to watch her interact with Nathan.  Tiffany and Kevan thanks for great shoot and I hope you enjoy this long anticipated sneak preview!  See you in a couple of months.

Ivester Family {Godfrey, IL}

January 15th, 2010

The Ivester family did a combo session right before Thanksgiving.  They combined family portraits with their son Wyatt’s one year portraits (click here to see his 6 month session).  We used several parks here in Bethalto and even Ashley’s parent’s backyard for some shots.  I can believe how this man, Wyatt, has grown over the past several months.  It is amazing to watch him walk and start to communicate with people.  It never gets boring watching little ones grow.  Ashley and Eric thank you for choosing me for your family portraits.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

Norris Family {Bethalto, IL}

November 22nd, 2009

This photo shot was a very special shot for me.  Before I was ever related to this family I was family.  My birth father and Uncle Max where great friends and so I have always had a special spot for this family in my heart.  The second reason this shot was so personal and special is because Betty is a survivor of breast cancer.  This past year Betty was diagnosed and she has been doing treatments every since.  This has been a scary time for us as family but we also know the Creator of life is helping us through this time.  Betty has not stopped serving God through all this and the family has grown closer as well.  Another reason this shoot was so special is that Max and Betty will be celebrating a huge mile stone in their life this coming January – 50 years of marriage!   Congratulations early and set your sites on 60 years!

Thank you Shannon for allowing me to capture these special moments in your life!  It was a lot of fun to work with you all.  Enjoy these photos for years to come!blog1blog3blog2blog4

Gates Family {Godfrey, IL}

November 3rd, 2009

This family session turned out amazing!  Believe it or not this session was shot in grandma’s back yard.  Corby ask me to come to her mom’s house to shoot Amia’s 1 year photos and some family portraits as well.  I didn’t think we where going to get the session in but the rain held back and Pam (grandma) was a my umbrella holder when we had sprinkles.  Over all we had a ton of fun creating backdrops and using the yard to create beautiful photos.  Toby and Corby thank you for allowing me to capture this special moment in your life!  Pam thanks for being my assistant and happy birthday Amia!  I hope you all enjoy your sneak peak.

Orr Family {Rosewood Hieghts, IL}

October 30th, 2009

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won’t turn back
I know you are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low

Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

As heard the lyrics of Matt Redman’s song, “You Never Let Go” (above lyrics) tonight I was editing the Orr family pictures.  God reminded me that through all troubles in life He will walk through it with His children.  Kevin, the Orr family father, deployed earlier this month for his 4th combat deployment since he enlisted in the Army National Guard 20 years ago.  Kevin has served his country in Bosnia, The Gulf War, and Iraq.  So with that in mind, this photo shoot was  a bitter sweet moment for this family.  On one hand they celebrated their family on the other they are said that their father and husband will be over seas for the next year.  One thing is for sure  God will see this family through in the highs and lows over the next year.  Please pray with me for Kevin’s protect and peace for his family as he serves our country.  Thank you Kevin for serving our country!
