Hasquin Family {Glen Carbon, IL}

October 15th, 2010

Monday evening I meet of with the Hasquin family for their family photos.  The weather turned out to be great and we were even able to take advantage of the early fall color change.  Little Brody made me laugh through out the session. He would have a toddler moment and be off to next place the caught his attention.   He was chasing dandelions all evening long between poses.   Working with children is so much fun.  Brad and Lori thanks for great session!   Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Audrey Elisabeth {Glen Carbon, IL}

October 12th, 2010

Last Monday evening I was able to take, the incredibly cute, Audrey’s 6 month photos at Edwardsville Township Community Park (or the airplane park).  It was such a beautiful day!  Take a look at the beautiful colors of leaves and great sunset in the cheer-leading picture.  The thing I love about photographing Audrey is her glowing little eyes and huge smile.    This little girl is such a joy and I can’t wait to see how she grows in the next three months.  Keep growing baby girl!

Mr. and Mrs. Misner {Decatur, IL}

October 8th, 2010

I had the opportunity in September to second shoot the Misner Wedding with Kellie Penn of Across the Miles Photography.  This was a neat outside wedding and the best weather we had all wedding season.  To see a full write up on the wedding go check out Kellie’s post on the wedding.  Here are a few of the shots I helped capture for Jimmy and Karalee.  Congrats guys!

Barnard Family {St. Louis, MO}

September 10th, 2010

The Barnard family is going to be three!  Jim and Alisha are long time friends of mine.  A neat fact about our relationship is they are the first couple I ever photographed.  Four years ago they asked me to do their engagement photos and that shoot was the birth of the studio.  So this shoot was extra special for me.  Since the Barnards live in the city we used a lot of city locations – Lafayette Square and the City Park in downtown St. Louis.  Mommy and Baby have faced some tough odds, but God obviously wanted the Barnards to have this particular baby boy!  He truly is a miracle!  He will be in their arms in just a couple of weeks and you will be able to see more photos of him as he grows.  Thanks Jim and Alisha for allowing the opportunity to capture photos of your family as it grows!

Gabrielle Lynn {Rosewood Heights, IL}

August 27th, 2010

Happy Birthday Elle!  It is so hard to believe that a year has already gone by.  Gabrielle has been quit the model of the past year.  We have done photo sessions in the backyard, under the Christmas tree, and at city parks.  Gabrielle knows how to pose and smile for the camera no matter where the session is.  She has such a sweet personality and is incredibly charming!  Jared and Danielle thanks for allowing me the opportunity to photograph Gabrielle.  I have really enjoyed getting to know your family and I really feel apart of your family.  Thanks!  Have a great birthday party baby girl!

Vacation…

August 6th, 2010

Last week my family and I went on vacation to Table Rock Lake near Branson, MO.  I had a great time and really completely unplugged from all technology.  I put my cell phone on the dresser and checked it once a day.  I put all my email address on vacation mode… if I haven’t got back to you yet sorry.  I was able to spend quality time with Sarah Jane and Ella.  I do have to confess I took my camera with me on the trip.  I’m glad I did because I was able to capture an amazing evening shot leading into a beautiful sunset.   Take a look…

This photo is actually about 12 photos put together in photoshop.  All the editing was down by my little brother Matt.  He is a photoshop ninja!  When I look at this photo it just reminds me of peace and quiet, many laughs, and great memories.  I can’t wait until next summer’s vacation!

Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin {Mt. Pulaski, IL}

August 5th, 2010

Chad and Emily tied the knot last month (July) in Mt. Pulaski, IL.  This little town had some great character including a town square with a court house that Abe Lincoln practiced law in.  How cool is that?  I had so much photographing Chad and the rest of guys all around the square.     We also stopped in downtown Springfield, IL, on our way to the reception, to take photographs at the old state court house and train station.  Emily’s portrait below was taken on the steps of the court house.  Great idea if you you are in the Springfield area.   This wedding was incredibly well planned and all the details were thought out.  To read more about the details visit  Across the Miles Photography’s website – click here.  Here are a few of the photos from the day.  Enjoy!

Ada Jane {Bethalto, IL}

August 2nd, 2010

Baby Ada turned 6 months old.  This little doll worked the camera yet again!  I think she may even a future as a model.  She did all the posing on her own.  I just provided her with the props and my daughter Ella gave her a little encouragement to “work it”… well how about “SMILE!”   The six month session is one of my favorite sessions.  I love how the babies want to sit up on their own and they are totally aware of their surroundings.  At this age they really start to take on their own personality.  Take a look at all the personality of Ada in this sneak preview.

Photographing babies is so much fun and very rewarding especially when you know you have captured the little one’s personality in an image.  To see watch Ada grow click the session you would like to to see – newborn or 3 month.

Audrey Elisabeth {Glen Carbon, IL}

July 20th, 2010

Monday night Sarah Jane and I went to shoot baby Audrey’s 3 month photos.  This little girl is an animated little thing.  She has the most beautiful smiles and is so easy going.  We took so many photos of her that she got tired of posing and decided to take a nap on us.  The sleeping shots happen to be some of my favorite shots from the session.  I don’t think she take a bad photo especially with such big beautiful eyes.  Take a look at the sneak peak and see if you agree.
